How Does It Work
USER REGISTRATION & USER IDENTIFICATION
A user will be required to provide a phone number, which will be the only personally identifiable information.
SETTING UP USER CONSENT
A user will need to provide consent (1) to allow their phone number to be stored securely in TraceSCAN’s registry, and (2) to allow other TraceSCAN users to send health officials information pertaining to encounters with an user if they are diagnosed with COVID-19.
SETTING UP APP PERMISSIONS
Users will be prompted to set up the app permissions that can facilitate the contact tracing process. This requires certain app permissions to be installed.
CONTACT HEALTH OFFICIALS
A user, should they want, inform health officials of those individuals the user has contacted, if they become diagnosed with COVID-19.
ENTER PIN TO UPLOAD INFORMATION
A user will then receive a pin that they will need to enter, which will be provided by the health officials. Once a user enters this pin, this will inform all the individuals on his or her encounter history, so they can take the necessary steps to protect their health.
